Beginners Courses
Seniors
Beginners’ courses for seniors (age 18 and over) are run twice a year, one in the autumn and one in early spring. They are run in conjunction with the normal club night at Abercrombie Centre, Harlow, from 8-15 pm to 10-15 pm on Mondays. Places are limited as they are run on a one to one basis. The course lasts for 6 sessions and covers all the basics including safety, etiquette, techniques on how to shoot consistently etc. All equipment required is provided at this stage. A certificate is presented to those successfully completing the course. Those who wish to continue with archery on completion of the course will join the club.

Juniors
At present we do not have fixed dates as we try to start them on a course as soon as possible after they have applied. However, if we get too full, we have to introduce a waiting list, which is particularly the case for Queen's Hall Community Centre, North Weald due to the size of the hall. As with the seniors, the course runs for 6 sessions and covers all the basics necessary to be able to shoot safely and enjoy it. All equipment is provided for the course and for quite some time beyond because equipment is often changed in the early stages as the youngster develops. A certificate is presented to those successfully completing the course.
